Established in 1992, the Utah Counties Indemnity Pool (UCIP) was created by counties, is owned by counties and is governed by counties.

 

Pooling is a practical extension of local government's obligation to be a good steward of public funds, and UCIP is a prime example of efficient government through interlocal cooperation.
